For optimal protection, 23 Square Enterprises recommends crack filling during every sealcoat application (typically every 2-3 years). While sealcoat prevents water penetration in small surface cracks, larger cracks exceeding ¼ inch in width and ½ inch in depth require hot rubber filling to prevent additional water intrusion.
